Centralizing asset planning and ordering in eight weeks
Netflix, Marketing Technology · Product Design lead
At a glance
- Problem
- Netflix’s title marketing team managed promo asset planning out of spreadsheets and Airtables, leaving Netflix blind to how many assets it made and where they were being used.
- Constraints
- I had eight weeks to design a functional “prototype” using Retool, a low-code solution for building internal tools, with engineers who had never built a UI before.
- Solution
- I designed Planning & Ordering Portal (POP), an internal web app that centralizes asset planning and localization ordering for global marketing teams.
- Outcome
- POP launched to 900+ marketers and reached 90% adoption a little over a year in. We also saw the share of users who struggled to find what they needed fell by half, from 16% to 8%.
